Back up your photo folders to Google Photos — automatically.
Uplofty is a desktop app for Windows. Pick the folders on your computer that hold your photos and videos, and Uplofty uploads new files to your own Google Photos account in the background. No browser tab to keep open.
Coming soon for Windows · macOS laterFolder backup
Choose one or more folders. Photos and videos inside them, including subfolders, are uploaded to Google Photos.
Albums by folder
Optionally put each folder's files into an album named after the folder, or into a single album, or no album.
Picks up where it left off
Uplofty remembers what it already uploaded, so it skips duplicates and continues after a restart or a lost connection.
Your account, your storage
Files go straight from your computer to your Google account. They never pass through our servers.
How it works
- Sign in with your Google account and allow Uplofty to add photos and videos to your Google Photos library.
- Choose the folders to back up. Uplofty shows how many files will be uploaded and how much space they need.
- Start the backup. Progress and results are shown in the app.
What Uplofty can and cannot access
Uplofty requests a single Google permission: add to your Google Photos library (photoslibrary.appendonly). With it the app can upload media and create albums. It cannot see, download, edit or delete the photos already in your library. Your sign-in token is stored only on your computer. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
